Dr. Smolen is an addiction psychiatrist at UF Health Florida Recovery Center. He received his undergraduate degree at Saint Anslem College in Manchester, New Hampshire. He got his medical degree from Georgetown University. He completed a surgical internship at the University of Vermont and a residency in orthopaedics at the University of Massachusetts. He later completed a residency in psychiatry at Boston University. Most recently, he completed a fellowship in addiction medicine at the University of South Florida.
