Lula Maxwell shined in June as the shining star recipient during the June staff meeting at UF Health Florida Recovery Center. Lula, who is a utilization management specialist, was recognized for stepping outside the roles assigned to her and provide exceptional communication between team members, a patient and his family members. She showed initiative and perseverance, and did it all with a calm and professional attitude.
Also pictured, Richard Horton, an April shining star recipient. Richard, an operations supervisor, was publically thanked for his continued willingness to help patients feel heard, respected and comfortable. He is always patient and his outstanding efforts are greatly appreciated.
David Jaeger, an administrative specialist, was also recognized. He was a May shining star recipient who received the award because of his amazing professional demeanor when working with our impaired professionals group of patients.
