Burt is a seasoned substance abuse therapist specializing in the treatment of alcohol and drug dependency. He began his professional journey in the field in 2017, backed by an educational foundation that includes a BS in Psychology from Thomasville University, Georgia (2015), and an MS in Addiction Counseling from Grand Canyon University (2019). In 2023, Burt completed postgraduate work at Capella University and received licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida.
Over the years, Burt has acquired extensive experience in various settings, including Behavioral Health treatment centers and MAT programs. His areas of expertise encompass Intensive Out-Patient Group Counseling, Individual Counseling, Family Counseling and Education, Crisis & Addiction Intervention, Community Relations, and Treatment Placements.
Holding an MCAP certification in Florida and a CAADC in Georgia, Burt is also a nationally certified Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) for the Department of Transportation and a Substance Abuse Expert (SAE) for the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
