Karen is the advanced practice registered nurse at the UF Health Florida Recovery Center in Gainesville. She obtained her Bachelor of Nursing at Santa Fe College and began her nursing career at UF Health Shands Hospital working in the cardiac intensive care unit and the operating room. She obtained her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) at Samford University for family nurse practitioner board certification and her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at the University of North Florida for psychiatric mental health board certification. She is also a certified addictions registered nurse advanced practice.
