Learning to live
Our program provides a safe and supportive environment to address the unique needs of young adults. With a strong emphasis placed on group therapy, which facilitates sharing and building a peer support system that can be carried over into a recovery life style. Our program focuses on developing healthy and constructive life skills through engaging in a variety of recreational and life skill activities such as:
- ropes courses
- cooking classes
- charity work
The goal of the young adults program is to remove young adults from their potentially dangerous lifestyles and teach them how to make better choices and to experience life without drinking or using drugs.
Family involvement is an important aspect of treatment. The family will have the opportunity to learn about addiction and how to more successfully interact and support their young adult in a way that supports a healthy recovery lifestyle. Family participation helps in establishing hope for the future.
