The family workshop at UF Health Florida Recovery Center is a two-day program designed to educate family members about the disease of addiction and the recovery process. The family workshop teaches family members about the medical component of addiction and the impact the disease has on the family system. Participants will experience educational lectures and process groups while learning new skills for family recovery.
A family workshop is hosted once a month. Families will be invited by the patient’s therapist based on the therapeutic circumstances of the individual patient and family. Families are encouraged to attend both days of the workshop.
